Katharina and the mysterious red thread
This fun walk takes you back in time to discover the fascinating world of traditional textile trades.
The aim? To learn lots of new things while exploring the city centre.
Your challenge: Help Katharina work out who she should give a red thread to by completing the tasks along the way.
The route is 1.6 km long and takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete.
The adventure is open to anyone aged 15 and over.
- The starting point is at the Fashion & Lace Museum.
- The tour ends on the Grand-Place, at the King’s House, which is home to the Brussels City Museum.
Speed is not of the essence here. You should take your time and read the information carefully at each stage. By doing so, you can fully immerse yourself in the history of Brussels.
This game can be played individually or in groups. If you’re in a large group, you should split up into smaller groups of up to six people. In this case, we recommend waiting for each sub-group to finish the task before moving on together to the next stage.
Be careful and watch out for traffic.
For an even richer experience, be sure to visit the Fashion & Lace Museum and the Brussels City Museum – King’s House, open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm (closed on public holidays).
