Hypnosis embodies mystery, particularly the mysteries of relationships between living beings. Did you know that Nancy was once a major hub for hypnosis? At the turn of the 20th century, scholars, doctors, and patients from around the world flocked here. What were they seeking? And what did they discover?

Join us on a journey through their footsteps with this trail, which will lead you to explore remnants of the magic that swept over the city from the 1880s to the Roaring Twenties.

This roughly 2-hour scavenger hunt begins at the Tourist Office, with seventeen stops introducing you to 23 illustrious figures brought back to life. They’ll answer all your questions about hypnosis… provided you can find them and solve their riddles.

The route spans approximately 6 kilometers, but if you can’t explore every corner, some outlying stops can also be completed remotely.
