Sailors coming up the river from the Mediterranean are said to have concealed their cargo in the town, planning to return for it later.

However, the crew never reappeared, and the treasure was forgotten over time…

But this mystery might soon be solved, as the logbook of Florimond Dupré — mentioning the treasure — has just been discovered.
